Get ready to torch some calories and tone your abs with this 10-minute workout from Jeanette Jenkins, president of The Hollywood Trainer. It's high-energy and fun! Mixing full-body exercises with ab-sculpting moves, Jeanette works your abs from every conceivable angle for a seriously toned midsection. Press play, and get ready to sweat.
It's time to prep for your bikini. And who better to help than Jeanette Jenkins, president of The Hollywood Trainer, where she's worked with heavyweights like Alicia Keys, Pink, and Kelly Rowland. In this 10-minute, total-body bikini boot camp, Jeanette will have your heart rate up and muscles burning. Grab a pair of three- to five-pound weights and get ready to work!
The hour-long-plus DVD provides a very athletic workout; three circuits, all around 15 minutes each, follow a solid eight-minute warmup. The workout ends with 10 minutes of Pilates-based ab exercises and a solid stretching sequence. Since many of the exercises feel like agility drills from basketball or soccer practice, it helps to channel your inner jock. There's definitely some high-impact cardio moves in each of the circuits, with full-body moves and ab-specific exercises thrown into the mix. Your heart stays pumping while you lunge, squat, and jump.
This workout require two sets of hand weights between three and 10 pounds and an exercise ball. Jeanette uses a wide variety of plank moves on the ball to challenge your middle while taxing your arms and legs too. I like those multitasking moves, but they definitely maxed out the space in my tiny living room. Jeanette also rarely offers modifications for beginners in this workout, making it feel like an intermediate workout. I like the challenge of the workout and will definitely add it to my DVD rotation. I like the mix of moves, and working my core is always a plus. You can pick up a copy of the workout on Jeanette's website Hollywoodtrainer.com.
Lots of celebrity trainers use Twitter to broadcast healthy eating tips, motivational words, and exercise advice. I love it because I'm getting the same advice that their star clients do, except that I'm not paying $300/hour for it. Since they often talk about the stars they train, I get to hear about Kristin Cavallari and Fergie's workouts, or what healthy food Lady Gaga is snacking on. Here are what some of the top celeb trainers are tweeting this month.
Start following these trainers to feel red-carpet-ready every day — minus the hefty price tag. And don't forget to follow FitSugar on Twitter, too!

Jane Fonda is back, and she's rounded some trainers to revamp her Workout brand! Yoga expert Tara Stiles, celebrity trainer Jeanette Jenkins, and Tone It Up founders Katrina Hodgson and Karena Dawn make up the lovely ladies of Team Fonda. FitSugar was lucky enough to workout with them and ask a few questions about surviving the holidays, easy workout moves to do anytime, anywhere, and power foods you should have on hand to keep your energy up. While we were hoping that Jane Fonda's comeback would be a throwback to the days of leotards and legwarmers, she has something else in mind. Today the actress announced via her blog that she'll be launching a series of "exciting new fitness programs of various styles" featuring "the new faces of fitness." And as far as we can tell, there won't be any spandex, headbands, or step aerobics involved.
Jane's new team includes celeb yogini Tara Stiles, Karena and Katrina of Tone It Up, and the president of the Hollywood Trainer, Jeanette Jenkins. Given the talent and expertise of Team Jane, we're wholly expecting to work our butts off under any of the projects these women produce together.
Queen Latifah and her longtime friend and personal trainer Jeanette Jenkins have purchased a 2,026-square-foot, three-bedroom, 2.5-bath Hollywood Hills home from actor Henry Simmons, who played Queen's boyfriend in the 2004 film Taxi, for $1.34 million. The Mediterranean-style home is gated, with lush, tropical landscaping. It has an open floor plan with French doors, a glass tiled fireplace, high ceilings, hardwood floors, and Mexican tiling. It also boasts a private patio, outdoor jacuzzi, and a gym — a must for Jenkins, the founder and president of the Hollywood Trainer fitness company. I'm pretty underwhelmed with Simmons's décor choices; I don't usually go for so many warm color choices. But I have faith that these ladies will give it a face-lift!
