Radish

These pink roots give any salad or crudités some punch. Low in calories and high in nutrients, radish seems to have limitless uses, because it's excellent at topping off a dish or picking up the flavors it's are cooked in, like in this braised radish recipe. Store your radishes in a plastic bag, leaves removed, in the crisper of your refrigerator.
