Original Recipe

INGREDIENTS

    • 2 oranges, peeled
    • 2 cups frozen pineapple, diced
    • 1/3 cup plain or vanilla yogurt
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
    • 1/4 cup orange juice
    • Sliced oranges, for topping
    • Sliced bananas, for topping
    • Granola
    • Chia seeds
    • Hemp seeds
    • Shredded coconut or coconut flakes
    • Orange zest

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. In a blender, combine the oranges, pineapple, yogurt, vanilla extract, and maple syrup.

    2. Blend until combined.

    3. While the blender is running, slowly add orange juice to thin the smoothie's consistency.

    4. Pour the smoothie into one or two bowls. The number of servings will depend on the size of your bowls.

    5. Top with sliced oranges, sliced bananas, hemp seeds, chia seeds, shredded coconut, granola, and/or orange zest.

    6. Enjoy!

    Notes

As with all smoothies, this recipe can be customized based on your preferences and dietary needs. For a thicker smoothie, skip the orange juice or add more frozen pineapple. You can also freeze the orange wedges before adding them to the blender. For a thinner smoothie, add more orange juice or use less frozen fruit. Want a dairy-free version? Use your favorite non-dairy yogurt.
