Hailey Bieber's strawberry-glaze smoothie from Erewhon Market is glorious in taste and appearance, but if you can't get on the fancy (and $$$) smoothie trend, maybe her husband's favorite smoothie is more your style.

In a TikTok posted on Aug. 16, Hailey shared a video of her making her husband Justin Bieber's favorite smoothie, and it looks simple, nutritious, and delicious. In a blender already half full with ice, she added almond milk, a ripe banana, a few handfuls of fresh blueberries and raspberries, a scoop of Ora Plant-Based Superfood Protein ($36), and a few glugs of Orgain Vanilla Bean Protein Shake ($23), then blended until smooth. She wrote in the caption: "husbands favorite protein smoothie so easy n yummy 🫐🫐".

As a fitness editor, certified trainer with a fitness nutrition specialty, and smoothie drinker of many years, I think this is a solid smoothie — especially if you make it as a post-workout snack. It has plenty of protein (about 15 grams), heart- and gut-healthy fiber from the fruit, and some more micronutrients from the berries. It has a great mix of carbs and protein, which is perfect for refueling after training.

That said, I'd also offer a few tweaks. If you don't want to buy a premade protein shake like Orgain, you can totally skip it. To make up for the liquid and protein the premade shake contributed to the smoothie, you can simply add a bit more almond milk and add another half or full scoop of protein powder.

If you're going to have this smoothie for breakfast or as any meal, I'd also recommend adding a fat, whether that's a chunk of avocado, handful of chia seeds, or even spoonful of nut butter. By having all three macronutrients in your smoothie, it'll keep you fuller for longer (not to mention, adding fat to a smoothie makes it taste great). And if you want to skip the protein powder? Try adding about a 1/2-1 cup of protein-rich Greek yogurt or cottage cheese instead.

If you're looking for a simple smoothie recipe, though, you can't go wrong with Justin's pick — and it seems Hailey and TikTok agree. As one commenter wrote: "I give it 2 days before this becomes THE viral smoothie of the season." We'll start a stopwatch.
