This Paleo Grain-Free Granola Tastes Just Like Cookies!

I'm not Paleo and I'm not grain-free, but I felt compelled to buy this grain-free granola made by Paleo Passion Foods because the ingredients looked so simple and pure. Instead of oats, the first ingredient is walnuts, and depending on the flavor, you'll also find almonds, shredded coconut, pecans, wildflower honey, maple syrup, sunflower seeds, golden flaxseeds, and pumpkin seeds.

At over $6 a bag, I prayed that it didn't taste like cardboard. Oh, no. Far from it. With that first bite of the huge granola chunks, I thought, "Holy sweet breakfast! This tastes like a chewy oatmeal cookie!" I promptly proceeded to hide the bag from my family so I wouldn't have to share it. I know. It was wrong. But this granola was so good!

I'm a huge fan of the Maple Cinnamon and the Caribbean Coconut (which is why half this bag is missing). I was expecting the Choco-Nuts to be sweeter and more chocolaty, so I wouldn't buy this flavor again, but that's OK, because I have two bags of the Maple Cinnamon waiting for me in my pantry.

At about 116 calories per 1/4 cup serving, the Maple Cinnamon flavor offers three grams of protein and two grams of fiber and has just six grams of carbs and four grams of sugar. I mean, hello, nutrition!

If you're strictly Paleo, you'll want to enjoy this grain-less granola with homemade almond milk. But it also tastes amazing enough on its own as a snack or an after-dinner dessert. Even if you're not Paleo, this is a must try!
