Shawn Johnson *Finally* Shared Her Baby Boy's Name, and It's a Trendy One!

Just less than two years after welcoming their first child, a daughter named Drew, Shawn Johnson and Andrew East have become parents of two with the addition of their newborn son, Jett James East. The couple announced Jett's birth on July 20 through the Instagram Stories of their family's company, Teddy & Bear. Ten days later, they shared a YouTube video that compiled clips of his first few days and revealed his full, trendy name.

The name Jett has been steadily gaining popularity over the last 20 years. It entered the Social Security Administration (SSA)'s top 1,000 baby names for boys in 1999 at 796th most popular, and most recently, in 2020, sat at a ranking of 278. As for his middle name, James, it's a classic! Not only has it been in the top 20 for boys since the SSA started compiling baby name data in 1900, but it was in the top 1,000 for girls from 1900 to 1989. And it's definitely on the rise again now, especially as a middle name for girls.
