This Mineral Sunscreen Leaves My Skin Radiant and Even-Toned

No morning skin-care routine is complete without a trusty sunscreen, and finding the ones with elegant textures, no white casts, and zero pore-clogging ingredients is challenging, but not impossible. I've tried and tested plenty of SPF formulations on the market, from chemical to physical, splurge-worthy options to viral favorites, and everything in between, so I know a thing or two about what makes a sunscreen worth it.

One of my biggest skin-care concerns is combating dark spots and hyperpigmentation, and Lion Pose's Unspotted 4x Acid Jelly Night Serum is one of my favorites. Lion Pose's Ghost-Buster Sunscreen has one of the creamiest textures that makes you forget it's a mineral-based SPF. The graininess usually found in physical sunscreens isn't there at all. It's masked with the softness and moisture from the squalane, making it feel like a lightweight lotion. My skin type is pretty normal, and this mineral sunscreen does not dry it out whatsoever.

The Ghost-Buster Sunscreen comes out as an orange-peach hue, and its tint blends into the skin, delivering a subtly dewy finish. The tint actually helps even out my skin tone and provides a base for a simple makeup application. It gives the skin a natural, radiant look, rather than the traditional mattifying appearance of most physical sunscreens. When I wore it during a sunny beach day in Tulum, all I needed was a little bit of concealer for the ultimate no-makeup-makeup look.

Like most sunscreens, the Ghost-Buster Mineral Sunscreen should be the last step of your morning skin-care routine, but before your makeup, if you choose to wear any. To get an adequate amount of coverage, I use around two finger lengths of the formula all over my face and neck. I found that applying the formula in thin layers and blending it out is the best technique to minimize any cast that appears. The brand recommends allowing the SPF to absorb and set for three to five minutes before applying makeup on top.

Depending on your skin type and needs, this sunscreen can replace the need for a separate moisturizer, especially if you're on the oilier side. However, if you do need an extra boost of hydration, this sunscreen pairs beautifully with other moisturizers.

The Ghost-Buster Mineral Sunscreen doesn't leave a white cast, but it does have a subtle tint, and it's best for those who don't mind that. Although it helps me achieve an even-toned appearance, it can leave a subtle tinted cast on those with darker skin tones than mine, according to some reviewers. I highly recommend blending in layers for a more even application. If you prefer something with absolutely no tint, you may want to consider a chemical-based sunscreen.
