Huda Kattan Will Give You $5,000 Just For Applying Makeup

Scholarships are great. The application process you have to go through to get them? Not so fun. Putting together piles of paperwork and writing essays is not exactly the picture perfect way to spend a Saturday. Huda Kattan, the woman whose namesake beauty brand has given us lip strobes and rose gold galore, wants to change all that.

The concept of Kattan's #ElevatorMakeupChallenge is simple enough: try to see if you can go from barefaced to full glam in the time it takes to get from the ground floor to your office. Kattan gamely filmed her own in the video above. While we knew the businesswoman can contour with the best of them, we didn't realize she could do it so quickly. This is seriously blink-and-you'll-miss-it status.

Turns out, the tutorial is for a great cause. In the comments section, Kattan urged her followers to film their own for the chance to win $5,000 to go toward a makeup scholarship, training course, or charity. So if you've been dreaming of the opportunity to attend cosmetology school or a masterclass but just don't have the funds, this could help it happen.

The rules are fairly simple: film your own video that shows you completing the challenge in time from bottom to top floor. Once you upload that to Instagram, be sure to use the hashtag #ElevatorMakeupChallenge to qualify between July 17 and 27. Kattan and her team will pick three finalists, and followers can vote for the one winner. Go, go, go!
