Actress Mischa Barton may look like she's cavalier about letting her hair dry she sips coffee and smokes a fag in New York City, but the reality of this photo is that she's actually on set waiting to into hair and makeup for her new TV show The Beautiful Life. I know a lot of ladies who don't blow dry their hair. Some have curly q's and avoid dryers as they cause frizz, whilst others are simply low maintenance and/or don't want to cause heat damage to their precious locks.

When I head out into the hot weather to work out, I discovered an easy trick for staying cool. It works so well that I do it before heading out for a run, bike ride, or hike. I simply stand over the sink and drench my hair with water.

Do you have flyaways galore? No doubt frizziness is a year-round issue. But now that the warmer-weathered humidity-induced frizz is pretty much no longer the cause of extreme pouffiness, lots of us get the frizzies from merely wearing scarves, hats, and gloves — not to mention the low moisture levels in the air.

When the weather's warm, it's tempting to want to dunk your head under water, however, the chemicals in a pool can cause breakage to your hair, not to mention colour oxidisation. If you're swimming in the sea, the salt water is quite drying and can result in damaging tangles. Unless you're willing to do an Evian rinse and then apply an SPF enhanced product, chances are you're doing your hair an injustice by soaking it when you swim.

After spending countless hours and dollars getting colored, highlighted, glossed and coiffed, spending just a few short hours in the sun can leave your hair looking oxidized and dehydrated. Considering that you would never imagine leaving home without sunscreen on your face, why not do the same to protect your lovely locks?

I've had a bottle of Charles Worthington Results Balancing Act Dry Shampoo (£4.55) in my closet for some time now, but didn't try it out until last week. Boy am I bummed out that I waited so long — this product is nothing short of a savior in a bottle!
I'll start by telling you how awesome it smells.
