Dear Fit Sugar,
I'm on a mission to lose that last 10 pounds, which has been so difficult, and I'm training for a half-marathon as well. I eat well and exercise a lot — cardio almost every day and strength training five days a week. I've always heard that muscle weighs more than fat, but after I reached a plateau, I've found that I've been gaining weight.

Dear Fit,
I'm trying to lose my last stubborn 10 pounds, and my regular workouts of running three days a week for 30 minutes just weren't doing the trick. So I decided to kick it up a notch and run every day. Now the scale is starting to budge slightly, which I'm happy about, but I'm wondering if it's bad for my body to run every single day with no days of rest?

Interval training is key for torching calories and increasing your speed. Intervals are tough, but they work your body and prepare you well for the races ahead — it is racing season, after all.
Even if you don't like to race, intervals are a great way to add spark to your running routine and help you move past a weight-loss plateau.

Surgery
Kyphoplasty, a surgical technique used to treat spinal fractures, does not improve a person's back pain or quality of life, according to a review published in 2006 by a nonprofit health services research agency. Kyphoplasty should only be done if bed rest, medicines, and physical therapy do not relieve back pain.
Ultrasound
Therapeutic ultrasound uses sound waves to deliver gentle vibrations to an area of the body.
