After a three-day weekend, possibly full of splurges, you want to get back on track, and let's start from the bottom up. How are your sneakers treating your feet? You should replace your running shoes every 350 to 500 miles, and you might be due.

My friends at geeksugar just posted about StrideKick a groovy little device that tells you how many miles you have run in your shoes so you know when to get new running sneaks. You should get new shoes every 350-550 miles depending on your running style, body weight, and the surface on which you run.
But alas, the StrideKick is still in the prototype phase and won't be on the streets for awhile.

On last night's episode of The Hills, the group heads out to Brody's surprise party, and Justin is a no-show as Kristin's date, hence the strike-one reference. In the meantime, Brody and Jayde get into a huge fight, and Heidi's got baby fever in a major way. And in another twist of events, could Audrina be crossing the line with Derek, Justin's best friend?

2 Love My Lips, a British beauty brand, has just come out with a line of lip glosses ($16 each) with an unusual twist: its packaging includes a card that detects GHB and ketamine, so women can test their drinks for date rape drugs. The idea is to help women feel safer in social situations where someone could spike the drink.
I'm all for anything that helps women feel safer and in control of a situation, but the juxtaposition of sexy lip gloss and rape feels a bit .

Men can test their semen for concentrations of motile sperm, while women can test their urine for levels of follicle-stimulating hormone (a marker for egg quality).

A new Italian study put a twist on the age-old advice about wanting something done right. In three separate tests, researchers found that when making a request, they had better results when the question was posed to the right ear.
In general, the left side of the brain processes requests better and researchers feel it must also process information that comes from the right ear.
