First up, Tropic Thunder comes out on DVD this week, so if you missed it at the cinema you can check out Robert Downey Jr's Oscar-nominated performance as appearance-changing serious Australian actor Kirk Lazurus. Ben Stiller directed, wrote and stars in the movie, Jack Black costars and Tom Cruise has a great cameo as a studio head.
2009 Bafta Awards — The Nominations
Jonathan Ross will host the Bafta Awards this year, he announced via his Twitter yesterday, and all of the nominations for this year's ceremony have now been released. The ceremony will take place at the Royal Opera House in London on February 8, and Kate Winslet continues her awesome awards season with two nominations in the best actress category, and Slumdog Millionaire has an enormous 11 nominations including Best Actor for lovely Dev Patel! Slumdog Millionaire matched Doubt with ten nominations each, Kate Winslet has been nominated for Best Actress, and on the anniversary of Heath Ledger's death, he's been awarded a posthumous nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

Even though Summer air is so hot and humid, I still try to exercise outdoors. The other day as I set out for a run, I noticed a light sprinkle in the air; I was so relieved. Rain can definitely keep you cool, and it can also be more challenging than exercising in dry weather.
LG TV Launch Brings Out London Ladies' Prints
The arrivals room at the LG launch party for the Scarlet TV Series was full of London ladies in an array of prints, from Sophie Ellis-Bextor's circles and Holly Willoughby's checks to Alesha Dixon's printed t shirt, which said "I Stole Someone's Thunder". Heh. Henry Holland also spread the print-love at One Marylebone Road last night, and Noel Fielding showed off his trademark crazy antics.

Since it's been so hot and humid, I was psyched the other day when I was about to set out on my run, and noticed a light sprinkle falling from the sky. While it's true that the rainwater can keep you cool, running in the rain isn't any easier. It can be more challenging since the water can add extra weight and get in your eyes.
