There has been a lot of talk over Faith Hill's appearance on the cover of Redbook recently due to some serious photoshop work that was done to her picture.
I never really understood it all until I stumbled onto Jezebel.com and saw the before and after pictures (above).
To me, it is upsetting that a beautiful woman like Faith Hill is not portrayed accurately.

How many times have you heard that models and celebrities really aren't as perfect as they look on the covers of magazines? It's a message that's been drilled into my head over and over, and yet I still look at magazines and wonder how on earth anyone looks that flawless. Even with excellent makeup and flattering lighting, most photos are retouched in Photoshop to create an unattainable level of perfection.

The teams on The Celebrity Apprentice were challenged last night to create advertisement layouts for Dial Nourishing Yogurt Body Wash, and the winning team's ad would run in Redbook magazine. Hydra decided to reach out to Redbook’s core readership of women between the ages of 30 and 37, while Empresario zoned in on the executive's clue that the magazine's readers are crazy about country music.
It wouldn't be a soap commercial if it didn't show some skin, and members from both teams went for the gusto.

Once they're out of the diaper and carting-the-whole-house-everywhere-you-go phase, it's easy to see how parents can call it quits when it comes to having more children. But sometimes holding an infant or sorting through boxes of baby clothes makes them rethink their decision. Heidi Klum recently told Redbook in its July 2008 issue that she and Seal haven't reached that point.

According to Redbook magazine, women are not exactly being truthful to their doctors. Whether it's because they're embarrassed, don't want to get lectured, or don't want to be judged, women are bending the truth a bit in the exam room. Female patients may also fear that revealing certain details of their lives will make them seem like "bad patients" and that their doctor won't give them the best care.

You may have sworn to yourself that you'd never look after kids again until you have your own, but when money is tight or you have extra expenses on the horizon you might reconsider watching other people's children once in a while.
