I competed in my first triathlon on Saturday, and I had a blast. The experience was similar to being in a really physical dance or theater piece. You rehearse really hard for months and then have one chance to perform your best in the three act show with two very quick costume changes.

I work better under the pressure created by a deadline, so I like to think of races as deadlines. They provide set goals and training plan — I love a schedule. Q. Our house looks like Santa's workshop with stuffed animals, race cars and art supplies scattered throughout. We try to get our children to keep their items in their own rooms, but it seems like a losing battle.

You may or may not have been convinced John Mayer is a secret fashion player in my first story, so let's give it another go. Maybe a sexier photo will help? A sexier photo of Mayer with shopping bags?!
