Jack in the Box really wants your support: The fast-food chain's latest campaign features its fictitious CEO "Jack Box" comatose after being struck by a bus. It's a well documented fact that I'm a fiend for sandwiches; likewise, PartySugar loves them, especially warm, toasty paninis. Naturally, when Quizno's launched its new Toasty Bullets, it wasn't long before we went to our neighborhood outpost to check them out.

Quiznos Finally Figures Out What Women Want...
In this Quiznos commercial, two women eat a Quiznos sandwich and one declares "It's not lackin' any meat, and that's what real women need." Not exactly subtle, but it's a funny twist on the "real men eat meat" cliché. It seems to have triggered some guy's anxiety about, uh, meat, cuz here he pretends not to understand what Quiznos was thinking.

Sunday BBQ: Grilled Gruyere & Zucchini Pesto Sandwiches
Although I had beef with Quizno's Toasty Bullet subs, I really enjoyed the Pesto Turkey flavor. The anise-tinged flecks of basil and pine nut reminded me how much I love spreading a little bit of pesto in sandwiches. And ever since PartySugar made better-than-store bought homemade pesto, I've been inspired to incorporate the same elements into dinners I savor at home.
