In preparation for Shaq's Big Challenge season finale tomorrow, I thought it would be fun to join in the fitness games and see how you measure up by taking the, duh duh dum, President's Physical Fitness Test.

When was the last time you took the President's Fitness Challenge? I like home fitness tests, and this is the only test approved by the leader of the western world. We all know that working out is important to Obama, but I wonder if he will update this test while in office.

After watching a politically charged reality show, aka the second presidential debate, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Biggest Loser Families would run 60 minutes instead of two hours. After watching Jillian make almost every member on her team cry in the course of the hour, I was sorely disappointed to learn that the weigh-in will take place during a second "special" episode that airs tonight. The show is really mixing things up — keeping us on our toes or rather our couches, and I am not quite sure how I feel about that.

President-elect Barack Obama and his wife Michelle addressed the economic crisis, transition, national security, his cabinet, and even the presidential pooch in their first post-election interview with Steve Kroft from 60 Minutes last night. When asked about Hillary Clinton, who is rumored to be his Secretary of State pick, Obama said, "She is somebody who I needed advice and counsel from. She is one of the most thoughtful public officials that we have.

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown seemed to break with tradition by writing an effective endorsement of Barack Obama for US President, or at least his housing policies. In an opinion piece, published on Monday in the Parliamentary Monitor magazine, Brown writes: Around the world, it is progressive politicians who are grappling with these challenges. In the electrifying US Presidential campaign, it is the Democrats who are generating the ideas to help people through more difficult times.

This week heads of state, nonprofit leaders, and philanthropists met for the fourth annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI). By gathering global leaders, the ex-Pres hopes they will devise and implement concrete solutions to some of the world's biggest challenges. Since 2005, CGI has committed $30 billion to programs that have impacted 200 million lives in more than 150 countries.
