I'm one of those detail-oriented people who loves making lists. I like to keep track of my mileage, X my calendar after a workout, write down how many reps I do at the gym, and even keep a food journal. It's amazing how your memory of what you ate and what you actually ate differ. Writing down what you eat every day has been proven to help people lose weight. It can also help you figure out if you're missing out on certain vitamins, nutrients, or food groups. So I'm wondering . . .
On a hot day, a frozen treat hits the spot. There are so many tasty options, and so many of them are decadent — which of course brings up the health dilemma. So, do you indulge in ice cream, or choose lite? Do you eat a bit of sorbet or make your own fruit juice popsicles? Or do you just avoid sweet frozen treats altogether and go for a frozen margarita?
I know you have been through this. You finally convince yourself to go to the gym and when you arrive the gym is crowded. All your favorite cardio machines are full. Frustrated since you planned on hopping on the treadmill, or the elliptical or the stairstepper, now you can't. The options are endless. You could work out on a type of machine you rarely use, or you could split. What do you do?
When I'm exercising outdoors, whether I'm running, biking, playing volleyball, or whatever, sometimes I just need to spit. I mean with all that huffing and puffing, saliva just ends up collecting in my mouth, and swallowing it just seems icky, so I just get rid of it. Hey, a girl's got to do what a girl's got to do, right? Of course, I try to do it when no one's around since most people think it's pretty unlady-like and unsanitary. What about you . . .
