If you've ever spent some time on Facebook then chances are that you've seen the banners for the Pink Patch. Me, I'm not a regular Facebook user, but I was recently pointed out the Pink Patch by user gumdrops334 so I did a little investigation.
Not only does the motto, "Get Skinny with Pink," and the use of the word "magic" send warning flags flying, but I am immediately turned off by the fact that the main ingredient, Fucus Vesiculosus, aka Bladderwrack — wtf?!

Calling all beauty junkies, there's a new pink eye trend on the scene! However, this time I'm talking about coloured eye shadow, not Agyness Deyn who had conjunctivits last fashion week and wore a patch to cover it up so that she could still walk the runways.
Back from the 80's, fuschia shadow has already been spotted at the Paul Costelloe show, Topshop Unique, and both Nars and Lancôme have featured grenadines in their 2009 spring colour collections.

Skin rashes are no fun. They're itchy, irritating, and can be embarrassing. They can appear out of the blue, and you haven't the slightest clue what caused it.

Risk factors
According to a report in the Archives of Dermatology, marathon runners are more likely than the general population to develop skin changes that increase the risk for melanoma.
Prevention
A study published in The Lancet indicates that the best ways to avoid sun damage are to reduce the time you spend in the sun and to wear a hat and clothing to protect as much of your skin as possible. Fabrics that are thick and tightly woven offer the best protection.

After 27 hours of travel to get home for the holidays (yeah, really!), I arrived home looking a bit haggard. As I slabbed on the concealer and swept on the powder blush in attempt to hide my jet-lagged appearance, I couldn't help but wish I had some cream blush instead. The powdered blush just seemed a little flat and settled into my parched skin in the most unflattering way.

Smoking and Skin Damage
- The skin of smokers ages more rapidly than the skin of non-smokers, even in areas of the body not exposed to sunlight, according to a 2007 study. Women in the study who smoked also had much lower levels of vitamin E secretions in their skin. Vitamin E may protect the skin from sun damage.
- There may be an association between smoking and higher frequency of a type of acne (noninflammatory acne) in adult women, according to a European study.
Antioxidants and Your Skin
- A study in the Journal of Nutrition found that a combination of antioxidants and trace elements supplementation raises the risk of skin cancer in women, but not in men.
Ultraviolet Radiation
- Overall, exposure to ultraviolet radiation from sunlight (radiation referred to as UVA or UVB) accounts for about 90% of the symptoms of premature skin aging.
- UVB primarily affects the outer skin layers.

Katie Holmes headed to the theater for All My Sons with Suri on Thursday, who navigated her Cabbage Patch Doll through the streets of NYC in a pink stroller. After the performance Katie was nice enough to sign autographs for her fans even with an armful of Suri and her many accessories. The Cruise girls have fallen into a reliable routine over the past few months, but all that will change when the curtain goes down for Katie for the last time on Sunday.
