If you are a surfer in your heart and soul, nothing can compare to the freedom of gliding over ocean waves, with nothing but a board between you.
But in the winter, your only option is to snowboard, but the feeling of being locked into bindings that are attached to a board, isn't much like surfing at all. Until now.

I know bold shoulders are all the rage, but would you wear these Gemma Degara Chain Shoulder Pads ($95) to enhance them? It's definitely an interesting concept — part cape, part shoulder pads, part necklace. I would perhaps give it a whirl, but not in that exact way!

I've admitted that sometimes I prefer low tech to high tech and prefer to keep written lists instead of digital ones so this product is right up my alley.
The Taking Care of Business mouse pad ($12) is a weekly calendar (the first page starts in January 2010) with space to write your to-do list in sections labeled "high priority" to "errands" and check boxes to keep track of progress. Each Monday, you get to start a fresh week with a new sheet!

Mouse pads are usually just cute, maybe sometimes fun, but they're almost never this rad! The Headphones Mouse Pad ($7) is made from an original screenprint design — the medley of colors and the headphone print are TDF, right?
It's way cooler than the primary-color gel-wrist mouse pad I'm rocking right now, so maybe it's time to change it up.

A lot of people don't like modern because it can be cold, but sometimes when it is that means it's really, really cool.
Such is the case with DWR's Aluminum Mouse Pad ($35), which is spare, striking and literally cold to the touch (except for the felt wrist rest, natch).
It may lack a certain patterned flair of say, a Marimekko mouse pad, but if you're edging away from using mouse pads because of their Office Space-type looks, then this version might work great for your own fabulous office space.

I honestly don't really look for decorative mouse pads anymore, but I might make an exception for this one. I love this mouse pad's retro styling and the message "Smart Women Back Up," because, you know, they do. (OK, yeah, I know it says "Smart Women Back Up Their Words," but I'm sure they're aware of the double entendre.)
It might be a very helpful reminder for the lazy geeks among us (guilty!).
