Often, the time we spend exercising is precious, and we want to get the best use out of it. This is why it boggles my mind when I see folks cheating at the gym. Doing things to make your workouts easier or less strenuous may seem to be a good idea, but in the end it's just a waste of time.
OK, OK, I know what you're thinking. This is some patchouli-smelling, long-haired, hippie-yoga dude who loves to practice shirtless. Try not to focus on that but watch what this amazingly strong and flexible man can do.

While I was getting
all choked up about A League of Their Own, I started thinking about how motivating a great sports movie can be. Whether it's a weepy figure-skating story (
Ice Castles, anyone?) or a classic baseball flick like
Field of Dreams, sports movies can be emotionally riveting and highly entertaining. So speak up and tell me: Which sports-centric film motivates you the most?

I'm one of those people that has to
listen to music when working out alone. The snappy fast beats motivate me to keep moving, especially up hills or in the last five minutes of my workout when all I want is to be done. I've asked you what songs you love to listen to when exercising, but in case you need some more ideas, check out this list compiled by
Fitness magazine.

Sometimes it's the little things we do to keep on track for optimal health that make a difference.
The next time you're starting to lose your motivation to hit the gym after work, pump up the tunes. Pick a song that's sure to make you want to get up and move and feel the music.
