Although I like to think North is pretty neutral to bath time, his pals at Wag Hotel tell me he loved the hydromassage he got on his last stay. In an attempt to recreate that at home, I tested out the FURminator TubNub ($13) on my pooch. A rubbery tool with nubs to massage a pet, work in the shampoo, and stimulate hair follicles during bath time, North seemed to enjoy this easy massage and it left my other hand free to hold him steady.

Recently on CasaSugar, we've been looking for ways to cut down on home cleaning time. Readers offered up their personal tips and had some great suggestions.
A few months ago, I switched to microfiber towels to clean my home's sinks, floors, windows, tabletops, and mirrors—basically, anywhere I'd previously been using rags or paper towels.

Hair (especially when it's drenched with sweat) can really get in the way of a good workout. Cotton bandanas just don't cut it for me and while I love wearing hats, I am not always in the mood.
Seeing a need for a bandana that is functional and cute, Kena Kai created Microfiber Bandanas ($17.99, for one 24"x 24" bandana) that are at least 5X more absorbent than cotton bandanas, are naturally more anti-bacterial than cotton and they're actually cute!

I recently purchased my own microfiber towel to carry around with me at the gym to wipe my body. I am in love with my new little towel because it's way softer than the ones provided at the gym, and I know where it's been.
This Aquis Adventure Small Microfiber Towel ($8.69) is lightweight and compact; making it ideal to stuff in your gym bag.

Sometimes it's just too much trouble to subject yourself to a long hair-drying routine. But if you leave the house with dripping wet hair, it's hard to make sure it will look nice when it dries, and you might catch a cold to boot. The key is getting your hair as dry as possible with a towel so you can style it before you leave the house.

Recently, while perusing the Tabatha's Salon Takeover website (have you joined my We Love Tabatha group, by the way?), I came across a tip that I really hadn't heard before, although it seems to be reserved for the more frizz-prone or curly-haired set. Instead of rubbing water out with a towel, simply squeeze the moisture out with paper towels. The theory is that the softer texture of paper towels is less aggressive than than rougher-textured terry cloth towels.

The cost of maintaining a home and appliances is often a major deterrent for those debating whether to rent or purchase a home. The unexpected expense of fixing leaky gutters and broken dishwashers can be budget breaking if it comes at the wrong time of month. Not to mention it's a huge pain.
