Cruising at 34 mpg may not seem like the best gas mileage you can get these days, but then again, you probably aren't driving a Lotus. The high-end sports car manufacturer is unleashing its newest concept at the 2008 British Motor Show, satisfying the roadster and the eco geek in all of us with the Eco Elise.
Based on the super-swank Elise line, this baby goes from zero to 60 in 5.8 seconds and is totally green, inside and out.

I have been showing you all the poses of the Closing Sequence of Ashtanga Yoga, and here is the second to last pose. This is the last of the seated postures and it really works your abs. It's called Lifted Lotus for obvious reasons; your legs are in lotus and you're lifting your entire lower body off the ground.

Lotus is the next pose in the closing sequence of Ashtanga Yoga after Bound Lotus. This is the pose I'm sure everyone thinks of when they think of yoga. It's a calming pose that many people choose to meditate in, and many yoga classes often begin or end in this pose.

Most of us suffer from stiff hamstrings and hips, so here's a pose that will increase flexibility in both. It's one of the seated postures in Ashtanga Yoga's Primary Series, and although it looks pretty basic, being in half lotus can be very challenging for those with tight hips.
Sanskrit Name: Ardha Baddha Padma Paschimottanasana
English Translation: Half Bound Lotus Western Intense Stretch Pose

The filming of Eclipse is well under way in Vancouver, and the cast has their tech to keep them warm up north — can you guess who's sporting what? Of course, we can't expect everyone to fall in line and carry an iPhone or BlackBerry, which is why I'm happy to see some diversity in Jackson Rathbone's cell of choice — a black LG Lotus.
Coming with a QWERTY keyboard, 2 megapixel camera, and a music and video player, Jackson has everything he needs to keep busy on set between takes.

I had heard of water births, home births, c–sections and standard hospital and epidural aided births, but not lotus births. Instead of cutting the umbilical cord after delivery, a lotus birth requires the child stay attached to the placenta until they naturally separate, which takes between three to 10 days.
Mothers tend to the placenta and often create special pouches for it, as it must stay close to the newborn during those postpartum days.
