Before we all came down with Michael Phelps fever, I told you about the Speedo LZR Racer, hailed as the world's fastest swimsuit. If you've been watching the Olympics, by now you are intimately familiar with the $550 full-body suit that all the swimmers are wearing.

If you want an LZR of your very own, you'll have to wait until October, but you can preorder one now on Speedo's website. The aquawoman one piece comes in three styles: the High Neck Bodyskin ($550), the Recordbreaker Kneeskin ($425), and Recordbreaker Bodyskin ($475). If only we could get a sassy stars and stripes version like Natalie Coughlin's.

While the majority of you were not big fans of the Olympic gear designed by Ralph Lauren, there were many of you who were. I will freely admit it; I am a workout pant fanatic. When you try go to the gym every day, you need a bunch of workout pants or you'll end up with a lot of laundry every day. So I am always on the watch for new pants, especially comfortable and flattering ones.

My girlfriend recently told me about her favorite new workout pants, the GapBody Sport Essential Perfect Pants ($44.50). So I had to check them out myself and they seem like a great moderately priced workout pant to add to your fitness wardrobe. I've personally always been a fan of GapBody underwear because it's comfortable and soft, so it makes sense that their workout gear would be comfy, too. From what I can tell, they don't have any wicking properties or fancy stuff like that (made of just polyester and spandex), but sometimes you want to wear "comfortable and flattering" instead of "fancy fabric technology." Review: Run Don't Walk Pants

Are you looking for some pre- or postgym pants that you can pull on over your workout gear? I'm always looking for a flattering yet comfy fit and that's what I found in these Run Don't Walk Pants ($110) made by Cloudveil.

I know that may seem like a lot of moolah, but you've got to feel this amazing material. It's super-soft, light-weight microfiber that's smooth on the outside and lightly brushed velour on the inside. They are perfect for slipping on over my workout gear to head to the gym and I also wear them after my workout (since I'd rather not head to the grocery store in tight spandex shorts). Since this fabric wicks moisture and dries super fast, I've also worn them while strength training or doing yoga. My favorite part is that the material is thick enough to keep its shape, so they never look really baggy. Plus I've washed them at least 10 times and they still look like when I first got them (making them worth the price). Might I add that I wear them all the time while lounging at home? Target lops another one out of the park as far as I am concerned with these C9 Pants by Champion (extended sizes).

Not only are they only $20, but they also come in, wait for it . . . tall sizes! Leggy gals rejoice. I cannot tell you how many emails I get asking about workout pants for tall girls and I've always steered them to the Victoria's Secret Fold Over Pant until now. These great workout pants are made from a comfortable jersey knit and they're slim through the hip and thigh while boot-cut at the ankle, which makes them flattering on most body types. Get Your Butt in Gear: Be Present Bamboo Halter Top

I'm a huge fan of fitness clothes made by Be Present. Check out this halter shirt ($49) made from blended fabric that is 95 percent bamboo and 5 percent lycra. It's as soft as cotton, but this fabric is breathable and wicks away moisture. It's also considered an environmentally-friendly fabric because bamboo is sustainable, meaning that it grows very quickly and can be harvested and then replanted again to replenish what was used. Another great thing is that bamboo doesn't require the use of pesticides, so farms can easily be organic. I love that it's a workout top, but it's also cute and not too low-cut. Not only could you wear this to the studio or gym, but it's so adorable, you could also wear it to the store afterwards.

When you work out, you get sweaty. Everywhere. Sweaty panties are just oh so uncomfortable. Also, dealing with cotton undies that bunch and ride all up in your business can be a pain too.

So I found some high performance panties from Patagonia. These hipsters, although $20 apiece, are totally worth the dough. You wouldn't wear a sports bra made of cotton so why would you wear cotton undies? These are made with a soft, breathable, moisture-wicking blend of nylon and spandex fabric, so you can work up a sweat and not feel like you peed in your pants.

The waistband is extra-wide, and they sit at your hips so you don't have to worry about them peeking out the top of your lowrider running skirt, shorts, or pants. And the best part? There are no annoying seams to deal with.

Teko Socks: Best Socks On and For the Planet

If you're into Winter sports, you've got to wear socks that wick moisture away from your feet since wet toes mean cold toes. In my opinion, socks made of merino wool are the best, but since they can tend to be a little itchy some people can't wear them. If your skin is sensitive to wool, you've got to try these ski socks made by Teko ($18.95). Made with a wool/poly/nylon/lycra blend, they're super soft.

Not only are they kind to your toes, these socks are kind to the planet. They are made with EcoWool that comes from one sheep farm that uses environmentally sound practices. This wool is also shrink-resistant and dyed with non-toxic dyes. These socks are also made with EcoPoly (recycled polyester), which makes them super soft and durable.

Not only do I love that they keep my tootsies dry when skiing or snowshoeing, but the extra cushioning under the ball of my foot and heel made these sock feel comfy in my shoes. One of the best parts is that the little bit of lycra in them kept these socks from becoming loose and falling down in my boots – I hate that. I love to wear bright red and pinks when I work out, not just because tomorrow is Valentine's Day, but because these colors convey a sense of happiness and confidence, as well as femininity. Maybe it's just in my mind, but I always feel like I have more energy if I'm wearing a hot-pink top as opposed to a dull and boring black one.

Get Your Butt in Gear: Warm Baselayers From Patagonia

Are you into active Winter sports? Then you've got to wear a baselayer shirt and pants that are made to both insulate your body heat and wick sweat away from your skin. Ones made out of Capilene are great because they're reasonably priced and very comfortable. Since they're made with polyester, they don't really let your skin breathe. If you're prone to body breakouts, be sure to change out of these as soon as you're done playing in the snow.

Ones made from 100% merino wool are pricier, but in my opinion they are well worth the extra dough. They're made out of a natural fabric that has exceptional wicking abilities. Since merino wool is a natural fiber, it lets your skin breathe and won't stink when you sweat. The one thing that does stink about this material is that if your skin is sensitive, it may feel a little itchy, but washing it a few times should help fix that problem.

It comes down to personal preference and these are some of my favorites made by Patagonia.

I used to hate skiing because whenever I fell in the snow (which was quite often), snow would get up my back and down my pants making me wet and miserable. All that's in the past now, and I love rolling around in the snow because now I have a bib. A bib is essentially like over-alls, so they go all the way up to your chest and have straps that go over your shoulders. They fit snugly against your body and when you put a jacket over it that has an attachable powder skirt, like the North Face Allure, you can say goodbye to snow getting up in your business.

I'm a huge fan of the Bib made by North Face. For $399, I know it's a little pricey, but if you're big into winter sports, these will make your outings that more comfortable. I've had my pair for almost two years and they still look practically new, so I know they are well made. Since they're made with three layers of waterproof Gore-tex, my legs stay dry and the ankle gaiters keep snow from getting into my boots. They're really warm too, and all I need to wear is a pair of baselayer pants underneath and I can play in the snow for hours. If you're in the market for some new snowpants, I'd definitely consider getting a bib. Your warm and dry body will thank you.

Ahh, Winter is here and many of you may be totally psyched that you can finally snap on you skis or board and hit the snow. It won't be any fun though if you're cold or wet, so you need a good, solid jacket that'll keep you warm and dry.

Check out this one from the North Face called the Allure Jacket ($249). It's filled with insulating down that'll keep your body heat from escaping, and the outer layer is waterproof, which is rare. Many down coats aren't waterproof, or if it's snowing or you fall a few times, the feathers soak up the water, making the jacket heavy and soggy. Plus you will be wet and therefore freezing. This jacket also has a detachable hood, so you can use it on super-cold days, or just when you're riding the windy chairlift.

There's a pocket on the left forearm for important stuff like tissues or your cell phone, and there's an inside pocket for goggles or sunglasses. I love the core zipper vents on the chest, so you can cool yourself down if you get overheated. Another great thing is that is has an elastic powder skirt attached inside, just below the waist, so you can snap it shut and keep snow from getting up your back. Now that it's getting so chilly out, I'm sure many of you have moved your workout indoors to the gym or your home. That means you can ditch the pants and jackets you were wearing outside and wear fewer clothes. When I work out inside, I get so hot and sweaty, so I need to wear comfortable clothes that can keep me cool and dry.

I love to wear shorts when I exercise inside, and I just found a pair made by a company called Yoga Threads. I fell in love with the material and fit of these roll down shorts instantly. They're made with a blend of 90 percent Meryl/Nylon and 10 percent Spandex. This fabric is made with extremely fine fibers, so it's lightweight, breathable, and has outstanding wicking abilities. Snow sports season is officially here as many mountains finally received a bit of snow. I have been gearing up mentally and physically for skiing and snowboarding, but I also have been looking to gear up fashionably too.

Get Your Butt in Gear: Everlast Energy Studio Pant

If you're looking for a good workout pant that will work for basically any activity you're trying, the Everlast Energy Studio Pant ($32.99) is a good buy. They're cute and sporty with a little additional flare, but not over the top like some other fitness clothes I've seen recently.

I wore them to the gym and the little bits of color (ruby and purple) spiced up my outfit, especially since most of my workout clothes tend to be black, gray or navy. The pants were very comfortable, moved well and breathed well, so I was overall very happy wearing them. An added bonus is that they have a cute little pocket perfect for most lightweight and small mp3 players. The price is not bad at $33 and I would definitely recommend them if you're looking for something simple but cute to add to your collection.

If you love working out in the cool Fall weather, but you don't want your noggin to freeze off, you need a thin hat that'll insulate your head but also wick moisture away from your skin if you start to get sweaty.

Merino wool is a great natural material to wear while working out because it pulls sweat away from your skin while it's still in vapor form (body steam). That means your head won't get damp, so you won't get cold.

Smartwool makes a great merino wool cap called the Training Beanie ($19.95). It's made with a double layer of merino wool that's not at all itchy and resists odor. It's soft and comfy and will keep you incredibly warm. The Training Beanie is great for fall runs and can also be used when skiing or riding in the winter.

Eva Longoria Pairs Up With Bebe Sport

When I heard that Eva Longoria was teaming up with Bebe Sport to promote its new ad campaign, I was excited to see what they would come out with. After seeing the ads, I am not sure I would ever actually work out in any of this stuff. Even though some of the pieces are made from performance fabrics (many with wicking technologies), it's just not me. I did take a look at the complete collection, and there are a few pairs of pants and shirts that I thought were doable, just nothing jumped out at me from the new ad campaign.

OK, I know the weather is getting colder and shorts are not a practical purchase for everyone but I wear shorts year round in the gym, especially on my 45 minute cardio days. Though I will say that I have no need to spend a lot of dough on a pair of shorts right now.

This is the time of the year where I face a major dilemma during my outdoor exercise excursions, I am either too hot or too cold. The weather is not quite so cold that I need a hat and gloves, but it's chilly enough that I need a jacket. Once I get hot I have to tie it around my waist, guaranteed to have it fall at some point during my run.

One option that I have found to work well for me is to wear a hooded vest. This Nike Baby Fleece Vest ($40) is perfect for those times when a jacket is too much but a long sleeve is not enough. Once you start getting too hot, just pull the hood off your head, which should cool you down quite a bit. Get cold again? Then pull the hood back over your head. Simple. A lot of you were liking the little pink Nike jacket I posted about a while ago, but user lintacious tipped me off on another cool jacket that's a little bit cheaper.
