So I've already told you about five places and things that are breeding grounds for germs and bacteria. As if that wasn't enough to gross you out and make you never want to touch anything again, here are five more.

Germs definitely freak me out because I hate getting sick, especially in the Spring and Summer. If you feel the same way, then you may want to disinfect these five things, or avoid touching them altogether:
- Your vacuum. Since you're sucking up germs, dirt, and other nasty things, vacuums aren't exactly clean.

I've become more germaphobic as I age. Maybe I got a little of the Howard Hughes in me. But it is difficult to swab down anything electronic with alcohol - like a key board for instance.

The cold temps are moving in and it's that time of year for colds and the flu. To prevent getting the sniffles, sore throat, and achiness, you've got to avoid the germs. It's not enough to watch out for germy places in your home.

Everyone around me is sick lately, and it has me washing my hands in overdrive, but if I'm not near a sink I use hand sanitizer. The problem is that those little bottles start to add up financially, and I feel bad throwing out so many plastic containers. Recently, my friend shared her recipe for homemade sanitizer with me and I've been a convert ever since.

Food recalls seem to be at an all time high this year. From peanut butter to Listerine to pet food, nothing seems to be safe anymore. So while we wait for the FDA to get a handle on the situation, you may want to take matters into your own hands...

I'll admit that I'm a bit of a germaphobe. OK, I'm a huge germaphobe. That's because I know some people are not as hygienic as they should be.

As a lazy second time mom, I rarely pull out the changing pad when my wee ones need a quick change. Occasionally a mat is required to shield their bums and noggins from the surface of a public restroom changing table. Since most diaper bags provide mamas with a roll type pad that is rarely long enough to cushion a toddler's head, I was tickled when I had the opportunity to test out the Ticklebug Baby changing kit ($49).
