Known for its dancewear, Danksin makes great fitness gear, too. Which isn't a surprise considering they sponsor the longest running women's triathlon series in the US. I recently tried the Danskin Cycling Short ($60).

If you're a fan of workout clothes made from eco-friendly fabric such as bamboo, then you're going to love Fila's new green apparel. The brand just announced its collaboration with AmericanForests.org, and with it comes a line of stylish clothes made from sustainable materials, including Tencel and recycled polyester.
I'm a fan of the Twist Back Tank ($45) made from Tencel, a fabric derived from natural cellulose found in wood pulp.

I just found a new brand of exercise clothes that I am in love with. Although the company is called Beyond Yoga, they have a variety of styles which can be used for any type of movement. In the photo below, you can see the Straight Back Cami ($60) and the Supplex Short Shorts ($58) in action.

I've told you about Earth shoes; the stylish and healthy shoe with negative heel technology, which means your toes are 3.7° higher than your heels. The idea is that shifting your weight slightly more to your heels offers health benefits — better breathing, straighter posture, stronger core muscles, tighter thighs, and calf toning. The slight incline, like walking up a not-so-steep hill, the negative heel helps you burn calories too.

I find walking is a good form of exercise as well as a great way to get from point A to point B. Wearing comfy shoes is a simple way to ensure that you incorporate walking into your everyday activities. I have been on the hunt for shoes that are great for walking and are cute too.

After continually running out of sports bras midweek, because doing laundry just hasn't been my thing lately, I decided to invest in some more support. I went with a sports bra from Moving Comfort since I liked their spin shorts; I opted for the Alexis bra ($36) and couldn't be more pleased. Wearing a bra that shares a name with a friend of mine is a little odd, but both are quite supportive.

As a Pilates instructor, one of the most valuable lessons I teach is how to sit and stand properly. Yes, the 100s are a great ab exercise, but folks sit and stand all day long, easily undoing their hard work. Poor posture can lead to many overuse injuries and, on the vanity side of things, make you look shorter and 10 pounds heavier.

Keeping your valuables safe at the gym requires a lock, but if you're not a numbers person, remembering the combination can be downright difficult. If you are more of a wordy gal, the Wordlock ($10) might be just the solution you're looking for, as the tag line is "Easy to Set — Never Forget." You can set your own four- to five-letter password for something easy to remember.

My friends at Polar sent me a couple of heart rate monitors to test, and the FT40 and FT60 models did not disappoint. In fact, I've become pretty attached to the FT60. It was kind to include another fitness gadget, the FA20 activity computer ($120) that doesn't monitor your heart rate, but does some other cool stuff that motivates me to move.
