You're asking and I am answering...
Dear FitSugar,
I read this site religiously and love it. I took your advice of incorporating more beans into my vegetarian diet so I got all my amino acids, but it's causing a bit of a gas problem.

While eating the same thing each day on my five-day detox has proven to be rather blasé, I have found ways to add excitement to my entrées, which mainly consist of the same old protein shakes and salads. However, a simple switch in lettuce variety, along with the mind-blowing addition of ice to my morning chocolate shakes, have proved to be all I need to turn my monotonous caloric intake around. I know beans are the magical fruit, but if you can ease your body into eating beans more often, you can avoid the gassy side effects and reap the amazing health benefits. Compared to meat, beans are inexpensive, low in calories and fat, and high in fiber. They're also fairly high in protein as well.

Luckily there are easy ways to reduce bloating so that you can show off that tummy you've been working so hard to get.

DrSugar is in the house and answering your questions.
Dear Doc Sugar,
I'm having a lot of trouble lately with gas. Yeah, it's really embarrassing, but no matter what I eat (high fiber, low fiber, healthy food, junk food) I start farting constantly.

Bulldogs, along with Boxers, Bostons, Persians, and Himalayans (to name a few), fall into a group I like to affectionately call smooshies based on that unique face shape. They all have brachycephalic skulls – "brachy" means shortened and "cephalic" means head. This creates the wheezes, snores, and snorts commonly coming from their mouths, but also causes another unwelcome emission .
