One of the reasons I love running is that it really requires no special gear. You just need a body and a desire to run. Then again, you might not need a racquet or clubs to go for a good jog, but I would suggest quality running shoes.

The other day my friend said "My chiropractor used applied kinesiology to discover that I had too much mercury in my body. They did some tests on my muscles to find out." Huh?

After wearing my new Nike Lunar Glides ($100) around the house to break them in, I took them on all sorts of runs while visiting the East Coast.
These shoes are light — one sneaker is just barely over half a pound (8.75 ounces according to my kitchen scale) — so they are great for traveling as well as running. Nike considers them stability shoes, meaning they help prevent overpronation, rolling too far to the inside of the foot.

The boys of Entourage are back in a little over a week, so of course, my thoughts stray to my favorite scruffy guy — Adrian "to hell with manscaping" Grenier.
A few years back, I was treated to an Adrian sighting while they were shooting a scene at hipster hotel The Roosevelt in Hollywood. Needless to say, the ladies were majorly swooning over him.

Hiya Fit,
I still consider myself to be a novice runner and am plagued with lower leg issues — mainly shin splints. I realize how important stretching is to prevent these types of issues but am just confused on when to stretch. So, I've got a question for you.
