
People have been demanding healthier fare at restaurants these days and an unlikely hero has stepped up to the plate.
Dunkin' Donuts has added an entire new section to their menu called
DDSmart. The new, healthier fare is supposed to have 25 percent fewer calories and less sugar, fat, and sodium compared to other products not on the DDSmart menu.

Fast food joints are everywhere. It seems you can't drive a few miles in a city without seeing a Burger King, Taco Bell, or Mickey Ds. I've never had a personal problem with these establishments because I feel that people can make their own decisions about what they eat.

I applauded New York City when it
banned trans fat from restaurants and started using healthier oils. I was psyched that fast food chains were also being required to post calorie counts on their menus but annoyed that McDonald's, Burger King, and Wendy's decided that rule didn't apply to them. So it went through the courts, and too bad for them, they're going to have to listen.
