After a long week, I was searching for a little inspiration and I found this gem:
"Failure happens all the time. It happens every day in practice. What makes you better is how you react to it."

Every time you go to the doctor, they wrap a little inflatable cuff around your upper arm, pump air into it, and squeeze your poor little bicep until it just about explodes. They're measuring your blood pressure, but how does it work?
The air is pumped until your circulation is cut off (you know, that uncomfortable feeling).

Not one to shy away from controversy or the honest truth, it's no surprise that mommy Amanda Peet is the cover girl on the December issue of SELF. The sexy mum shows off her postpartum bod and dishes on her role in the vaccinations debate, her typical date night and how she stays in shape. As the star in the flick 2012, she's a busy mom who somehow seems to keep her priorities in line all while maintaining a beaming smile on her face.

Although Lindsay Lohan has run the gauntlet of cell phones, she's become a BlackBerry convert and sticks with Apple for her computer needs. Lindsay recently lamented on Twitter about how her MacBook took a beating during her recent travels and ended up with a cracked screen. I know how expensive replacing screens can be, and unfortunately the star had to learn the hard way that accidental breakage isn't covered on Apple's warranty or by their protection plans.

I love this scene in Failure to Launch where Matthew McConaughey's parents are trying out recliners (La-Z-Boys, Barcaloungers, what-have-you). It's so American of them: the epitome of both bachelor pads and retirement homes. In most cases, they're an eyesore, but I've seen some nicely upholstered ones that are A-OK in my book.
