If the botanical patterns of this Lavender Relaxation Eye Pillow ($9) weren't enough to have you reaching for your wallet, let me tell you that it's filled with flaxseed and lavender buds to send you into deep relaxation mode. It's the perfect way to soothe the tired eyes of blushing brides who are stressed from all the wedding planning they've been doing, or just those lovely hard-working single gals! Whoever wears it will look super-cute as they're snoozing away; it's available in a variety of patterns, including Amy Butler fabrics, if you're a fan of hers.

Sometimes when your body and mind need to relax, you need to help coax it along a little. If you don't have the time for a salt soak or massage, and you aren't in the mood for a cup of tea, you've got to try using an eye pillow!
They're filled with flaxseeds, and often contain dried calming herbs like lavender and chamomile.

Using an eye pillow is a great way to encourage relaxation. When you place one over your eyes, the darkness, gentle pressure, and calming aroma of herbs will help you drift into tranquility. It can also help to quiet your mind if you're stressed, relieve pain from a headache or sinus pressure, or help you fall asleep.

If you stare at a computer all day long, you've probably found yourself squinting, which can cause major head and neck pain.
To relieve eye and head strain, keep an eye pillow at work. You can place it in the fridge for a few minutes, and then go someplace where you won't be disturbed (go to the bathroom or your car if necessary).

The next 5 Pillow Talks will be dedicated to our 5 senses and the roles they play in our lives. The senses are the body's way of perceiving and interpreting the external world for us. Through them we know pleasures, wonders, and nuisances, and we so often take for granted the very fact that we can smell, taste, see, hear, and experience physical sensations.

Room & Board is cleaning shop to make room for Fall and passing on the savings to you all. At the Summer clearance event, furniture and accessories from throw pillows to sectionals have been reduced 30 to 50 percent. I'm loving this Matchstick Pillow ($69.99, reduced from $109), which I had my eye on when I toured Room & Board back in March.

While I'm fairly certain that anything Mad Men's Joan Holloway (Christina Hendricks) reclines against will look gorgeous, this pillow is an instant eye-catcher even without the redhead's influence. The tassels are the secondary scene stealer here.
Tassels, which can be found everywhere from curtains to pillows, are both a pretty and functional decoration.

When it comes to "beauty" pillowcases that promise miracles, like the copper-infused pillowcase to reduce wrinkles and acne, or the contoured Anti-Wrinkle Beauty Pillow, do you buy into the hype? I know I'm leery, so when I tried out the BeautyZZZ Silk pH Balance Pillowcase ($47), I took it all with a grain of salt.
The hypoallergenic covering, available at Fred Segal Studio Beauty Mix stores, supposedly aids in preventing dark circles under the eyes, boosts the body's immune system, and helps keep skin and hair hydrated.
