I grew up in a pretty active family. My dad was insistent on getting the whole family bikes when I was in junior high. It embarrassed me at the time, how he made us go on family bike rides, but he definitely instilled in me a love for being active.

He's been your dad for forever, so you've already gotten him a belt (twice), a watch (four times), and a tie (over a dozen). This year for Father's Day, it's time to think outside the box. Take this Salvatore Ferragamo Paper Clip Money Clip; it's quirky and useful at the same time.

It seems to be a universal truth that dads love geeky gifts - from robots, camcorders, speaker systems to plasma screens - there are very few gadgets that any dad I know would turn down. With Father's Day on the horizon, this is the week to start thinking about what you are getting your dad or father figure. He's probably the person who bought you your first Walkman or Discman afterall.

One thing’s for certain, I get my geekiness from my dad’s side of the family. So, whenever I get him a gift, I know he’s going to be all read up on its stats, ratings and all-around hipness. This means I have to try extra hard to stump him and find things he might not know about.

Diaper bags tend to be feminine and look like giant purses, so it's no surprise that most dads wince at the thought of having to carry one. Of course, we might also have to place some blame on men's man bag paranoia (how do I speak to Jerry Seinfeld?!).
If telling your hubby that even Iron Man and Matthew McConaughey carry man bags doesn't do the trick, try getting him something decidedly dad-worthy like this Guitar Bag ($98).

Though some dads gripe about their lack of respect in the home, others are celebrating the newfound responsibilities.
In a recent New York Times, former print journalist Michael Winerip wrote about the joy he found in the day-to-day parenting activities he took over when his wife returned to work after 10 years.
