Stella McCartney has never been one to wear heavy makeup, but she does however stick to what works for her. With her blue eyes and milky complexion, she favours shimmery pinks and copper-toned browns. If you look closely at the slight nuances in her makeup style you can see that she plays around with these combinations creating a metallic smoky eye with highly pigmented shades.

Canadian actress Missy Peregrym — last seen as Andi on Reaper — is showing her home country some love: she's just taken the lead in the cop drama Copper, a Canadian production that will air in the US on ABC.
Copper is described as a Grey's Anatomy-type journey through the world of rookie cops. Amusingly, this character has the same name as Peregrym's Reaper role — though this one's Andy, not Andi.

Designed in 1968 by Italian architect and designer Roberto Menghi, the Globo di Luce Pendant ($813-$1,170) is as captivating as it was 40 years ago. Blown glass defines the globe's shape, a transparent cable gives it the appearance of floating mid air, and its copper finish gives off a rich, warm light. It's practically solar.

I spotted this photo in the portfolio of Swedish interior stylist Jakob Solgren and couldn't help but think the central copper pendant light looked quite familiar. It makes a very bold, masculine statement in the nearly all-white, very Scandinavian room, so it was hard to ignore. But where had I seen it before?

Copper verdigris is beautiful on rooftops, but the corroded metal doesn't look so good on your pots and pans. So it's important to keep them polished and in shipshape. As it turns out, it's not so difficult to do so.

Did you know that copper isn't just for pennies and the bottom of pots? It is also an important mineral for your diet. Even though iron usually gets the nutritional spotlight, copper is necessary for the production of red blood cells.

So Balenciaga's intense tank shoe may have been a bit dramatic for some of you, but nonetheless it gave us a glimpse into the new must have metallic: coppertone. I'm pretty stoked about this because I bought my first pair of Christian Dior sandals that were from their Resort collection and they are bronze. I can't wait to whip them out, but my feet need some color first.

Featuring finches, lories, and parakeets behind a delicate copper wire, the Anthropologie Songbird Chandelier ($798) is a bit gimmicky, but I can still definitely see its appeal. It would look great along with some busy, bird-themed wallpaper — like the one in Domino editor Rita Konig's foyer. But for a piece that requires a very specific design scheme, I certainly wouldn't spend nearly $800.
