Media designer Syuzi Pakhchyan embodies geek chic. Pakhchyan's studio Sparklab mixes culture, craft and technology by weaving circuitry into bags, jewelry, wristbands or bicycle safety jackets.
She displayed her tote bags decorated with circuits at this weekend's Maker Faire and drew a huge crowd of geeky girls (and guys!) intrigued by the totes as well as Pakhchyan's Do It Yourself kits which included a circuit which you can sew on to any fabric.

One of my must haves for November is a circuit workout that you can do at home. Not only is an at-home workout excuse-proof, it is recession-proof since it is free and will only cost you calories! Check out this full body circuit workout that fits in your living room.

I think this creation of geeky goodness, tops my list for ways to reuse old circuit boards. Etsy seller DebbyAremDesigns got really resourceful when piecing together this one of a kind recycled circuit board ID badge/eyeglass holder (which I'm naturally calling a necklace — hee hee). The artist says:
A funky badge holder made from recycled vintage circuit boards, vintage lucite and glass beads from the 1950's as well as recycled colored "bell" telephone wire from the 1950's!

I love a good circuit workout for many reasons. These workouts are great for strength training, but they also keep your heart rate up, helping burn up the calories while building muscles. This full-body circuit combines many exercises so you work your arms while toning your legs.

When I am running low on time during my workout, which I am a lot especially during the holidays, I like to do a mini-circuit workout so that I still feel like I am getting in some exercise but I am not spending hours doing it. I love the little combination below, because it really works the biggest muscles in your body.
Do each of the five exercises for about one minute with a little (12 seconds) rest in between each; complete the circuit two or three times.

I'm always in for a unique way to recycle and reuse circuit boards, but usually the novelty look of the boards makes for something that's fun-looking, like this necklace, but not objectively cool-looking.
This Circuit Board Pencil Cup, however? Definitely an exception.

Since you all chose Jessica Biel's trainer Jason Walsh as your favorite celebrity trainer, I asked him to share a workout with us.
Jason thought this three part circuit workout that he does with his clients would be fun for us too. It will get your heart rate up and strengthen your body at the same time.

A circuit board may simply be a small, insulated board where interconnected circuits and components are mounted, but it has come to represent something much larger. In fact, circuit boards have been a source of inspiration and a material staple for designers and artists of all sorts since the widespread use of the personal computer.
I like circuit board pieces because they seem to embody the complicated and ongoing workings of a computer, but at the same time seem natural and almost organic because of their subtle, earth colors.
