I think Dairy Queen's tag line is Do Something Different because they want us to go against the healthy eating and just blow it all at their fine establishment. Don't get me wrong, I had my fair share of Blizzards in college however after learning the nutritional information, I am not sure a Blizzard will ever cross these lips again. So next time you're doing something different, make sure you go informed with this nutritional breakdown.

It isn't hard to explain why our workouts get a little lackadaisical when Winter rolls in — 'cause, baby, it's cold outside — and it's pretty understandable that a lot of us lose our motivation to get outdoors for a run or a bike ride. So, how actually do people who work out through the Winter do it? An article from The New York Times reveals exactly that — and how some people manage to get up "the high activation energy" required to stay committed to fitness during the bitter Winter months.

What child hasn't heard the story of their parents hiking five miles to school, uphill (in both directions) during a blizzard? Such tall tales may seem even more foreign to kids as fewer moms are allowing their lil ones to walk to school on their own. According to the National Household Travel Survey, child abductions, unsafe traffic conditions, and neighborhood conditions can be blamed for the decline in the number of walkers from 41 percent in 1969 to 13 percent in 2001.

As many of you know, sprinkling rock salt on your walkways and driveways in the Winter will prevent snow and ice from bonding to the pavement, making it easy to shovel away. Make sure to do so lightly, as salt can cause damage to your grass and other plants. Keep a tightly sealed bucket with a scoop for the salt outdoors near your walkway for easy access when the weather gets bitter.

Forget gambling addiction, the multiplayer online role-playing game World of Warcraft has just reached 11.5 million subscribers worldwide.
The game, by Blizzard Entertainment, released its second expansion of the game called Wrath of the Lich King this past November, which sold 2.8 copies in just 24 hours. I'm not a huge WoW fan, but actress Mila Kunis claims to be obsessed with it, and we've heard that its on-going gameplay nature has a tendency to tear couples apart.

So, if you've got a fireplace in your home, get to work and clean it! Store your fireplace tools and logs out of sight until next season.
