When you take a yoga class (especially Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Jivamukti classes), sometimes the instructor will call out the names of the poses in their original language, Sanskrit. Here's a list of some body parts in Sanskrit, so you can get familiar with them. Knowing these Sanskrit words really helped me to remember the names of certain yoga poses.

We're up to the third pose in the Standing Hand to Big Toe series. In Standing Hand to Big Toe A, your leg is straight out in front of you, giving you an amazing hamstring stretch. In Standing Hand to Big Toe B, your lifted leg is out to the side, so it feels amazing in your hips.

Many yoga poses stretch out your hips and hamstrings, so after a while, you can use the flexibility you achieve to do more difficult poses. This one stretches the backs of both legs, while challenging your sense of balance at the same time.

If you're looking for a dynamic yoga sequence that'll stretch and strengthen your lower body while challenging your sense of balance, then give these four poses a try. If you can, repeat all four in a row on each leg without letting your foot touch the ground between poses.

Yesterday I was lucky enough to spend an hour with Zac Efron! He and his castmates in Me and Orson Welles, Claire Danes and Christian McKay, talked about their new movie in a Q&A session with UK journalists alongside their director Richard Linklater. Zac looked handsome and casual in a blue t-shirt and jeans, and fiddled with a bottle top on the table while talking, he was pretty self-deprecating, as was Claire who looked gorgeous and was really funny.

I've always wanted to meet the man behind my favorite Alexis Bittar jewels — I finally had the pleasure to do so at his recent Neiman Marcus trunk show. Alexis filled us in on what's going on in his world right now. He's one busy bee; his San Francisco stay was for a mere 10 hours because he had to fly to Vancouver for an appearance at Holt Renfrew.
