This past weekend PetSugar took a little trip to Portland, OR, and while out doing some shopping at a local craft exhibit, she found the perfect case for her BlackBerry Pearl! PetSugar picked up one of these $14 leather cases with a hand-painted yellow flower accent to protect her cell phone. The company that creates these cases is called Appetite and thankfully has an Esty store, so we can check out its other cute designs.

I have come across the word "leptin" a lot recently and instead of just skimming over it and knowing it is vaguely related to weight, I thought I'd do a bit more research.

It's been a while since the pale yellow and gray trend made its debut, but the color pairing hasn't lost its appeal on me. I'd be a proud lioness if this Appetite Home White Yellow and Grey Fern Pillow ($28) were mine. Not only is its palette utterly delightful, but it's pared-down, nature-inspired print is simple and versatile.

If you've got both vegetarians and meat lovers joining you for Thanksgiving, consider serving an almost meatless meal. The only meat dish on the menu is the turkey, but the appetizers and supporting dishes are all veg-friendly. Start with baked brie and toasted walnuts.

In Poland, pork sausage — like yesterday's leftover kielbasa — is traditionally served with fried onions, sautéed pierogi dumplings, or potatoes, but if you're looking for something that's a little lighter, consider an unusual kielbasa and lentil salad.
Here, the kielbasa is drained of most of its fat, combined with tender lentils and skillet-browned fennel, tossed in a mustard vinaigrette, and served with crunchy frisée leaves. Make this nutritious salad alternative when you read more

Every once in a while, I'll be browsing a food magazine and come across a recipe that I simply must make. This recipe for lemon custard cakes from the February issue of Bon Appétit is the perfect example. After gorging on decadent chocolate desserts for Valentine's Day, I was desperate for a light, refreshing treat.
