When I'm on the road and in need of quick meal, I sometimes stop at Moe's Southwest Grill. It's like a Mexican version of Subway — you pick a type of burrito, taco, fajita, salad, or quesadilla, and then you choose exactly what goes in it (and you can watch them make it too). They use fresh veggies, but they don't use lard.

Every time you walk into Moe's, without a doubt, you are always greeted by the entire staff with a happy "Welcome to Moe's."
I went in there the other day because I was on the road and needed to eat. I thought I'd order a cheese quesadilla, because it'd be the safest item on the menu.

Moe totally sums up how I'm feeling right now so how could I not pick him to be our pet of the week?! This one-year-old Boxer is the proud pet of girlA. She says, not only does he think he's as human as we are, but he's 80 pounds of goof and love!

Talk about being all tied up! Beauty queen Tara Conner's gold shimmery dress looks like it should come with an instruction manual. I don't mind her color scheme but the dress and the Moe wristlet are not doing it for me.

Hayden Panettiere looks so cute in her black and white Alice + Olivia dress at the It's a Mall World premiere. The entire ensemble - from the cinched wristlet to the peep-toe pumps - is very age and event appropriate. Other young Hollywood starlets should take note!

What better way to celebrate the release of The Simpsons Movie than by enjoying a nine minute compilation of Bart's best prank calls? With requests for ridiculously named peeps like "Hugh Jazz" and "Bee O'Problem," Bart really knows how to deliver a quick laugh. What's even better is that the little punk gets away with it every time: "Why you little...!"

Richard Moe, the president of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, recently wrote an article for The New York Times, This Old Wasteful House, outlining the benefits of greening old homes instead of building newer homes.
In the article, he asserts:
Never before has America had so many compelling reasons to preserve the homes in its older residential neighborhoods. We need to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.

This picture of SeptemberLights' cat (who uses a sock as a hat) is more than just hilarious, it's bound for Internet fame. If nothing else, I'm sure there are a few cat lovers out there who would love to use this as their profile picture!
Congrats to Moe and SeptemberLights for being chosen as our Pet Pic of the Day!

New Research:
- Patients who have the most common type of gastric bypass surgery, the Roux-en-Y, are at increased risk for kidney stones, beginning 6 months after surgery, according to a study published in 2006.
Causes of Kidney Stones:
- Calcium stones form when there is an imbalance in the urine substances that promote and block the formation of stones. Often, the cause of this imbalance is unknown.
- Having acidic urine or too much uric acid in the body leads to the formation of uric acid stones.
- Struvite stones are almost always caused by urinary tract infections due to bacteria that produce certain enzymes.
- Other stones, including cystine and xanthine stones, are usually due to genetic abnormalities.
Treatments:
- In about 85% of patients, the kidney stones are small enough that they pass through normal urination, usually within 2 - 3 days.
- Certain medications can prevent recurrence of stones in people who are at high risk.
- Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) is a technique that uses sound waves (ultrasound) to break up simple stones in the kidney or upper urinary tract. The shock waves are delivered from outside the body.
- Surgery may be necessary if the stone or stones are too big to pass, and cannot be broken down through ESWL.
- A change of diet and increased drinking of fluids, especially water, will help prevent a recurrence.
Introduction
Kidney stones are hard, solid rocks that form in the urinary tract.

Ear Infections
Middle ear (otitis media) infections are very common in young children. They include:
- Acute otitis media (AOM) is an inflammation caused by bacteria that travel to the middle ear from fluid trapped in the Eustachian tube. Children with AOM exhibit signs of an ear infection including pain, fever, and tugging at the ear.
- Otitis media with effusion (OME) refers to fluid that accumulates in the middle ear without obvious signs of infection.
