"Cankles" is a slang term combining "calf" and "ankle," suggesting that there's not much definition between the two areas. Some people's legs just look that way; there's not much you can do about it except just accept it and move on! But apparently, cankles are becoming a new body obsession.

I know that most of you are divided about which method of hair removal you prefer. While shaving is undoubtedly the cheapest and most convenient way it can become annoying having to do it every other day —plus there's the problem of ingrown hairs (check out my top tips to prevent those). Personally I'm a devotee of waxing as it's just more relaxing having someone else take care of the problem.

I love exercises that work multiple areas of my body. These kinds of moves are usually challenging so you never get bored doing them, and you can feel them working immediately so you're more apt to add them to your routine. This exercise will target your shoulders, waist, abs, and thighs.

Once a beauty treat at lunchtime meant picking up some new nail varnish at Boots, now it means thread vein removal.
Spurred on by the sunny weather, an increasing number of women are having thermo-coagulation, a thread vein removal technique which uses microwaves to zap the unsightly veins.
A super-thin needle, which emits a microwave current, is inserted under the skin, in the problem area.

This summer is all about super-short skirts, play suits and cut off shorts, which means getting your legs look-at-me ready.
Hair removal must be one of the most tedious tasks of beauty maintenance. In the quest for silky smooth legs I've pretty much tried everything.

Side lunges offer a new take on regular lunges. They allow you to work your hips, glutes and thighs a bit differently than traditional squats and lunges while still targeting the major muscles of the lower body. I personally think they provide a really good workout, and are easier to do.

After a long run or a good leg workout, my hamstrings always feel tight. This is one of my favorite stretches for hamstrings called the Lying Hamstring Stretch. Here's how to do it:
- Lie on your back and lift your right knee up.

I was talking to a friend recently about ways to rev up her cardio routine as she was getting bored with her elliptical/treadmill rotation. I suggested she take a spinning class but she rapidly replied, "Oh no way, I don't want my legs to get all big and bulky."
I completely understand why anyone would feel that spinning will make their legs bulk up since you are primarily working your legs the whole time, but the truth is it won't.
