What would you do if you learned that you have the genetic marker, known as BRCA gene mutation, for breast cancer and you had a 95 percent of developing the disease? Filmmaker Joanna Rudnick decided to make a documentary film about the dilemma facing her, like having prophylactic mastectomies, and many other women who have been confronted with the information that they have the genetic disposition to develop the disease. Ask any mom, and she'll tell you: life changes drastically with the birth of a baby. Nights out at the bars are put on hold indefinitely, and friendships often take a backseat to parenting. It's not that friends lose their value; it's that parents have a fuller schedule and more responsibilities, which leads to less "hang" time with their buds.

Freshman comedy Modern Family has filled a void in my life — I find myself laughing out loud each week, and I'm not the only one digging it. A huge part of the show's greatness can be attributed to its amazing cast; one of my favorites is Cameron — one half of a same-sex couple adjusting to life with a new baby. Eric Stonestreet, who plays Cam, sat down with me to talk about the show's crazy success and the real-life experience he used to portray a clown in next week's episode, "Fizbo."

Of course, not everyone has dream families — some relatives can be rude, non-accepting, or just generally overwhelming.

The family that eats together, stays together, right? While dinners often serve as a family meeting of sorts, some busy broods pencil in a separate meeting time in hopes of improving family communication, conflict resolution, and discussing other issues that may come up. The digital age of emailing, cell phones, and social networking has made it possible for many families to interact without coming face-to-face with one another.

Sofía Vergara, the young, Latina wife on Modern Family, went on The View today. Things got off to an awkward enough start when Joy asked the Colombian actress, "So you really talk like that?" but then things got worse.

It's simple, Modern Family rocks! ABC's new sitcom had me in stitches as it showcased three related families. Here are the highlights: First, there's the "traditional" couple, Phil and Claire, who have three teen and tweenage kids — Haley, Alex and Luke.
