Gene Simmons from the popular band KISS, was out in full force in NYC to help launch "Guitar Hero 2" for Xbox 360. Guitar Hero experts were invited to perform in the Virgin Megastore, as the best hero would be awarded with an autographed guitar and the chance to play with Simmons. Everyone is excited about the debut of Guitar Hero II for Xbox because it's an upgrade from the PS2 version with way more content.

Stanford University researchers have identified the gene that makes dogs' fur black, and may also shed light on differences in people's body size and ability to cope with stress! The work narrowed the genome region to a gene that makes a beta-defensin protein – one version of this beta-defensin gene produces yellow pups, and another produces black. In fact, all dog coat colors are modifications of black and yellow!

Anyone who thought that Liam Gallagher's new haircut was a bit girly will be eating their words right now (right?!). Liam and his son Gene were spotted out in London giving the paparazzi a piece of their mind by putting on a spectacular display of Kung Fu for them. Pretty impressive!

In this day and age of special effects and stunt doubles, we'd be remiss not to stop and appreciate the masters of old. Take Gene Kelly here — singing, tapping, skating, acting, and charming the pants skirts off of all them swooning ladies. Gene was a bona fide quintuple threat.

Thanks to a healthy attitude — and a little encouragement from hubby Seal — Heidi Klum is working to get her body back in shape after baby number four. Still, if you're expecting the supermodel to take a turn in the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, you might be surprised to learn that she won't be walking the runway this year, but playing hostess duty instead.
In an interview with US Weekly, it seems this mom is a little more realistic when it comes to shaping up her body after giving birth.

Even though she lives the So Cal lifestyle, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz told Women's Health that she doesn't starve herself for a Hollywood figure; she simply loves food, and one of her favorite feasts features Mexican fare. Once a week Ashlee and her hubby, Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, invite family and friends over for taco night. Ashlee told the mag that she's not afraid of cheese, eats cheeseburgers with ranch dressing, and indulges in French fries.

That's the idea behind a new variety of apple that's being tweaked by researchers at Queensland Primary Industries. The RS103-130, as it's called, can stay fresh for at least 14 days without refrigeration, and keep in a refrigerator for four months.
