Following in the footsteps of people such as Ru Paul, Fergie, and Mary J. Blige, Cyndi Lauper and Lady Gaga are the next faces of the MAC AIDS Fund. Founded in 1994, the fund has raised more than $150 million to support AIDS research, treatment, and prevention initiatives.

You name the color, and at some point or another, pop sensation Cyndi Lauper has probably worn it. She's so unusual, after all. At 56, the multitalented star has released multiple albums throughout the years, performed on Broadway, and acted in both movies and TV.

Neil Patrick Harris played captain at last night's TV Land Awards in LA, bringing together stars for yet another night to celebrate classic television. Amy Poehler and Will Ferrell were just two of the comedic actors who helped liven up the evening along with stars like Teri Hatcher, who also made time to attend Saturday's attending the GLAAD Awards. Matthew McConaughey wore his award show uniform after spending Saturday promoting Ghosts of Girlfriends Past with Jennifer Garner, joking with the press about marriage and raising kids in Hollywood.

Why yes, Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" is on one of my favorite songs for running mixes. I know it's old school, but it always reminds me of my wild youth and revs me up. Songs like this motivate me to move and help me enjoy the process of getting my heart rate up.

As the story goes, Hazard wrote the poppy song in a motel bathtub in Delaware in the late '70s.

So I take a spin through each week's iTunes music releases and pick out some albums and tracks worthy of a download. Many of the ladies on the red carpet had the chance to change outfits since they performed and presented as well. In fact, during some parts of the show the beautiful boys like John Mayer and John Legend were simply background fodder to Alicia Keys and Fergie's fabulous voices. We were especially excited to see Alicia getting down in an age appropriate outfit that made her shine.
