Winter weather has settled in for good, and I'm sure you've rebelled by cranking up the heat in your homes, cars, and offices. While the heat keeps us warm, it also takes moisture out of the air causing dry skin. Delicate areas are especially affected, like lips since they don't secrete any oils.

It's common to get dry, chapped lips during the Winter, but what about cracks at the corners of your mouth that don't seem to go away no matter how much lip balm you apply? I've heard that this could be a symptom of a vitamin deficiency, so I decided to do some research.
Indeed, persistent cracking at the corners of the lips could be a sign that you're not getting enough vitamin B — in particular, folic acid (B9) and riboflavin (B2).

As I've said before, Winter can be brutal on your skin. The wee bit of humidity in the air evaporates when we blast our heat, and we're left with itchy, dry skin. The dry manufactured heat also does a number on sensitive lips.

Mr. Bella and I were sifting through some old photos and after looking at each year's school picture, it was obvious that the poor guy spent the majority of his elementary days with chapped lips. It's pretty unavoidable, especially in moisture-depleted Winter months — and especially for that cute little guy who couldn't stop licking his sore, flaky mouth for relief.

I really love Korres watermelon products, but I hadn't heard much about the line's Lemon Lip Scrub ($19). The price is a little steep for a person who loses lip stuff all the time like I do, but reader laratf makes it sound so good that I might just have to try it anyway. She says:
"The most effective lip treatment I've found.

For their Milan Fashion Week show, twins Dean and Dan Caten took "glamping," or glam camping, as the theme at their Dsquared show. While the looks were very pretty, real glamorous camping obviously involves having a $200,000 RV and several makeup and hair professionals along on your trip, making it about as real as unicorn tears for anyone who's ever actually been camping. The glamping look, which consists of glossy pink lips, casually braided hair that only looks messy, and glowing skin, has very little do do with the chapped lips, dirty hair, and oily skin that usually come along with the camping experience.
