I recently bought a new yoga mat because well, my hubby took the car that had my prized Black Mat in it. And I REFUSE to use the nasty, stinky, dirty, germ-infested public mats you can rent at the studio.
So I bought a new mat that's a little less thick and a lot less heavy - so I could travel with it.

Has anyone tried Yoga-Paws? I saw some online & wondered if anyone has used them before. They're supposed to be padded and grippy enough so that you don't have to use a mat.

Whether you're planning on going to your first yoga class or you've been to a million, there are some things every good yogini needs to know. This way, you'll be able to respect the teacher, and respect yourself as well.
- Wear clean clothes: Some teachers assist you in postures, and you wouldn't want them to have to smell your stinky previously sweat in outfit.

A new wallet? Yes, please! I originally found this site while looking for wallet patterns to buy.

Sure, practicing yoga is all about health and wellness, but Smart Money knows that it is also booming business. There are some aspects of yoga class that may not be in keeping with the healthy lifestyle you seek — just don't expect your yoga instructor to let you in on them. Here are a few pointers for staying healthy while practicing yoga, and remember that even when taking a fitness class led by an instructor, it's best to think for yourself to figure out what feels right and what practices work best for you.

Dear Fit,
The holidays are fast approaching, and I wish I loved this time of year but I'm already stressed out about hosting Thanksgiving dinner, what to get for my picky in-laws, and dealing with traveling. I've heard yoga can help people relax, so I wanted to give it a try. A friend of mine says that she does a short session in the morning every day, including sun salutations (whatever those are), and a sequence of standing and seated yoga poses.

I just started a beginner yoga class and I am hooked. My problem is my knees have become bruised after the class...Does anybody know if anybody makes "yoga inspired" knee pads? And are knee pads a good idea at the beginning?

Hi Fit, I have been practicing yoga on my own for years, and I love it all . . .

Yoga —it’s no longer just for patchouli-scented spiritual folks and those highly in tune with Eastern practices. Chances are, you have already tried it or even have friends who don't stop talking about how much they love it. Last week, I attended a class at my macho, testosterone-filled, weight lifters gym that had more men than women trying to stretch their taut hamstrings into a downward-facing dog.
