When I signed up for a gym membership for Pure Fitness in Tempe, AZ, I was excited to see they offered yoga classes. Little did I know I was taking classes by a wonderful instructor by the name of Zuzanna. After the first class I took with her, she asked all her students to sign up if they wanted to be added to her email list.

Hey!
So I'm just starting into the yoga scene. I've had a private lesson from one of my friends who is a yoga instructor and I LOVED it.

You know I'm a huge fan of Baron Baptiste and I love his LIVE DVD, Soul of Strength. He's got such incredibly positive and inspiring energy, it made me want to check out his other videos.
After making the LIVE DVDs, he went on to write a book called Journey Into Power.

David Swenson is an incredibly well-known yoga instructor and practitioner. He began practicing when he was 13 and was introduced to Ashtanga at 19 by David Williams and Nancy Gilgoff (also very well known). Plus he studied with K.

A friend of mine just started working out with me regularly 3-4 times a week (hooray, a fitness buddy!), and I'd love to bring her gradually into yoga, since it's one of my favorite ways to tone and relax. She's never taken a class, and I am by no means an instructor, but if anyone can suggest a great beginner's dvd, it would be really helpful.
What are your best suggestions that will be an intro for someone just starting out but still give me that bit of challenge I enjoy?

I did do some of the stretches over the holidays, but i didn't get any pictures...
However, I do think that yoga is a good way for me to get more flexible and would like to do in the evening with Heidi.
Can anyone (fit?) reccomend a good video (DVD) that I can use to start?

I have recently been side-tracked in my yoga pratice due to an over-bearing schedule. I would rather participate in group yoga instead of alone at home, but I am unable to sign up for any classes because nothing in my area is available in my time frame.
Here is my burning question:
Have any of you bought and liked at-home yoga practices on DVD?

Gwyneth Paltrow can add fitness guru to her resume - she has reportedly been asked to release a fitness DVD.
The svelte star, once famed for following a strict macrobiotic diet, will share her tips for staying trim without using gym equipment.
A source tells British newspaper The Sun, “She will show what she does each day to stay slim - mostly pilates, yoga and resistance training.”

So my trainer has been killing me on the bike doing interval training and I've been doing it on my cardio days too. On my cardio days, I just do the elliptical on the interval setting, making the harder ones a bit harder then they set it to. And on trainer days, we just do 6 min on the bike, 25 sec hard as you possible can, 15 sec rest.
