We all have those days where we just do not want to be at work another single second! Your constantly avoiding the co-worker that wants to regale you with their latest stories about how their toenails grow weirdly, and Miss Gossip over in HR burns more ears than actually sending on important information. You go home exhausted, after a hour long commute, and have to be up at 5am for a pre-work meeting, where most likely noone will agree on anything.

In these recessionary times, being a small business owner is not a bed of roses. New business owners are often tempted to reduce costs by not insuring their businesses just because they work from home.
In the short term this might save some money, but it the long run, it could seriously affect future business plans.

As my pregnancy goes further, I look at all my current new mom friends and have become quite frightened of the working mom title. They're all exhausted, sleep deprived, and even sometimes down right crazy. But one thing is true which brings a smile to my face, they are still happy.

Most of my life I've often wondered why Thanksgiving seemed to be for many families a trigger word for family dysfuction. Why individuals couldn't just let that disagreement with another family member go for one bloody day and enjoy some good food and conversation with more pleasant family members. I have to keep reminding my self that I'm pragmatic by nature and that is apparently unusual.
I found an article with some helpful tips.
Holidays are meant to be happy, joyous and life-affirming times.

BAGHDAD — In its largest reconstruction effort since the Marshall Plan, the United States government has spent $53 billion for relief and reconstruction in Iraq since the 2003 invasion, building tens of thousands of hospitals, water treatment plants, electricity substations, schools and bridges.
But there are growing concerns among American officials that Iraq will not be able to adequately maintain the facilities once the Americans have left, potentially wasting hundreds of millions of dollars and jeopardizing Iraq’s ability to provide basic services to its people.
The projects run the gamut — from a cutting-edge, $270 million water treatment plant in Nasiriya that works at a fraction of its intended capacity because it is too sophisticated for Iraqi workers to operate, to a farmers’ market that farmers cannot decide how to share, to a large American hospital closed immediately after it was handed over to Iraq because the government was unable to supply it with equipment, a medical staff or electricity.

Although she made her name as Posh Spice in the Spice Girls, Victoria Beckham was in anything but posh surroundings earlier this month during a two-day trip to Clay County, Kentucky. Visiting on behalf of Save the Children USA and accompanied by her 10 ½-year-old son Brooklyn Joseph, Victoria was on hand to gain a better understanding of childhood poverty in the United States.
By her own account, the trip was both eye-opening and inspirational.
