On a balmy autumn day in Vancouver, a young man is longing for a walk outside in the sunshine, and deciding against it. Far easier for him to stay in his hotel room, cocooned in five-star luxury with a mobile phone that has run out of charge, safe at least from the girls chanting his name outside. Robert Pattinson, 23 and from Barnes in southwest London, ought still to be one of Hollywood’s beautiful dreamers, moving up the ranks of movie acting, enjoying his American adventure, his guitar, his good looks.

The idea of aging always seems to be under debate; teenagers can't wait to experience it (or at least up until their 21st birthdays), while people "over the hill" dread its ever-increasing effects. While the process of aging may be inevitable for anyone who possesses human genes (unless you're Demi Moore), there are still a number of ways that you can slow its scary effects without having to dish out cash for plastic surgery. We would still like to be able to have facial expressions by the time we're 70...

I was reading through all my fitness blogs this morning, and stumbled across these great fitness tips created by Valerie Waters. If you have never heard of Valerie Waters, she is personal trainer to stars such as Jennifer Garner, Jessica Biel, Cindy Crawford, Richard Gere, Elizabeth Berkley, Benicio Del Toro, Jim Carey, etc... She has also put together one of the best workout programs, The Red Carpet Ready System.

I keep myself physically fit because I want to... it's a lifestyle choice and many of my favorite activities involve running around. My boyfriend doesn't lead the same lifestyle, which is fine by me...

I never know what to eat exactly after a workout... I tend to just let my stomach growl and then eat a ton later on. Not a good idea, folks!

5 minute warm up on eliptical trainer
Plank 3 x 1 min
Crossovers 3 sets of 30 with an 8 lb medicine ball
Up and over on the step bench 3 sets 1st for 10, 2nd for 6, 3rd for 7.
