Country star Merle Haggard is recovering following surgery to remove a tumor from his lung. The singer/songwriter underwent the operation on Monday at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital in California.
The 71-year-old was diagnosed with the malignant tumor in May (08) and despite initially refusing treatment, he bowed to pressure from friends and family to have the growth removed.

Berbagai kelompok umur dapat mengalami sepsis, tetapi prevalensi tertinggi terserang sepsis adalah bayi dan anak-anak dimana system imunnya tidak cukup kuat untuk melawan infeksi yang sangat berat.

Breast cancer incidence in women in the United States is 1 in 8 (about 13%).
In 2008, an estimated 182,460 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in women in the U.S., along with 67,770 new cases of non-invasive (in situ) breast cancer.
About 1,990 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in men in 2008.
