I try to avoid going to the gym during peak hours because of the long waits and time restrictions on the cardio equipment, but some days I can only manage to hit the gym during prime time. While it's tough to adhere to the 30-minute gym-imposed time limit on the treadmill, if there's a long line of people waiting (and there usually is), I play by the rules. But, of course, there's one woman who does not get off the treadmill for at least an hour — more often 90 minutes — no matter how long the wait.

Pls help. I started running in November for fitness and weight loss. I've been running on a treadmill the whole time--except for my first 5k last weekend.

My standby treadmill workouts are intervals - I love the belly fat burn of speed!
For this you can stay low - btw 0 and 1 incline.
Warm up, 5 mins at 5mph Sprint for 1 min at 8mph, rest 1 min at 5mph.

Review: $10 Runkeeper Pro versus $315 Garmin Forerunner 405
Running is generally a cheap sport - good shoes and good music are generally all you need. However, like most other sports, the deeper you get into it the more you start eying professional gear. For runners, that means heart rate monitors and GPS devices.

I've been doing a consistent workout plan for a few months now. I feel like it gives me a good balance of Cardio, Strength and Flexibility training.
Here it is:
Sunday:
"Rest Day" - I'll sometimes do 30 minutes of Restorative Yoga. Yesterday I did Sara Ivanhoe's Crunch Yoga.
Monday:
Treadmill Runs + Elliptical = 60 Minutes of High/Moderate Intensity Cardio - Today I did 35 Minutes on the Treadmill (Day 1, Week 7, C25K), and 25 Minutes of the Elliptical
Tuesday:
Yoga!! If I have time, I'll do Shiva Rea's Yoga Shakti 90 Minute Solar Flows.
