Considering this is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I though this would be a good post.
There's no part of our bodies that we obsess about more than our breasts. Even those of us not prone to health anxiety wonder which, if any, of our everyday habits are upping our odds of getting breast cancer.

Regarding my sister and her breast cancer. The whole situation is far worse than we ever thought. Far worse than the doctors thought or told my sister her cancer was.

Last month there was Congressional Testimony regarding healthcare reform, and it uncovered some very horrifying practices that are costing people their lives. The lack of coverage of this testimony shows how powerful the lobbying interests are.
The thing that really got me, is that
Insurance companies are intentionally targeting women with
breast cancer for the act of "rescission", where they cancel your policy after you become ill.

I just typed this before and then my firefox deceided to have a mistake and now the entire post is gone, damnittttt.

Thankfully, I have not had anyone close to me diagnosed with Breast Cancer but I don't see this as a reason not to give the cause my full support and attention. This year, I'm participating in a local Breast Cancer Awareness walk and built a team of friends and family. This is something I plan to do every year along with making donations.

If you have not seen or heard his plan... here is the gist of it. The whole Tax Credit idea is something of great interest, and the idea of insurance companies fighting for the consumers as well.
