The President, while campaigning said that Iraq was the wrong war in the wrong place, and at the wrong time. He said Afghanistan was the front lines of the war against the terrorists, and if necessary he would invade Pakistan to achieve his aims of neutralizing the threat presented by al Qaida and the Taliban. The facts are at this moment are that a brigade deployed to Afghanistan is twice as expensive to maintain as a brigade in Iraq.

In luscious horror news, hottie Josh Brolin has just signed on to star as Jonah Hex. Here’s the scoop:
I'm told that the deal is sealed for Josh Brolin to star in Jonah Hex, based on the graphic novel and directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (Crank, Game) and to be funded and released by Warner Bros. Brolin's rep is not only denying this but claiming Brolin is "not attached," but a voice is telling me to consider the word of a friend who tells me the deal was locked down last night.

Except for the occasional song of birds and the gentle breezes wafting outside, a soothing quiet and calm and the usual hot L.A. sun greeted the morning. The cool white drapes that hovered over the floor-to-ceiling windows parted, giving way to an astounding view of the Los Angeles skyline from high up in the Hollywood Hills.

Humor is one of those things that is totally subjective and completely open for debate. A lot of people think that in order for something to be truly funny, it has to be risky or offensive. And while I don’t agree with that, safe humor is never quite as good as the jokes that walk a much finer line.
